Because we follow sensitive choice requirements we minimise the amount of fragrance that we use in our products.

Our ingredients are chosen for their purity and low biological irritation. They are highly water soluble, are not retained in clothing to any measurable degree, and do not leave residues. We always recommend you refer to the ingredients listed on the product packaging to investigate further for any possible irritations.

We check ALL of our ingredients to ensure that they do not contain carcinogens mutagens or teratogens. This is part of our commitment to our Environmental Choice certification. All of our fragrances comply with IFRA (international fragrance Association) requirements for safety. We also avoid including nitromusk and macrocyclic musks in the fragrances for our Earthwise and Earthwise Nourish ranges.

Our fragrances are also phthalate free. To maintain transparency with consumers we have begun including a list of the EU allergens on our labels to help enable customers to avoid the ingredients that they may be allergic to.

We can confirm the wrapper is not plastic. It is fully water soluble, bio-degradable and is not harmful to the environment. The reason we use this to wrap our tablets is to keep the integrity of the product so they reach you in pristine condition.

Earthwise bottles are already recyclable, we’ve taken this a step further by manufacturing bottles made from a minimum of 75 percent recycled plastic across our cleaning product range. These bottles are sourced from milk, water and juice bottles and have already started appearing on supermarket shelves.

Earthwise bottles are made from the most widely recycled plastics numbers 1 and 2. We are aware that recycling varies by region, for example Auckland can recycle all products which show numbers 1 to 7 on the base of the product. Please read the instructions on the recycling bin at your home, it will advise which numbers can be recycled in your particular region of the country.

We have pledged to move all of our packaging to be recyclable or compostable by 2025, and are working hard on this to make it happen!
